About Philadelphia Venom
Philadelphia Venom FC is an elite, club-neutral tournament team created to elevate young athletes through high-level training and competitive opportunities. Built for players who want more than their current club environment provides, Venom FC focuses on technical mastery, tactical IQ, and player confidence in a positive, competitive setting.
Our program is led by Coach Bliss Harris, an experienced and highly respected youth coach currently coaching with Radnor and the Philadelphia Union PPP program. His training philosophy blends modern coaching methods with strong soccer fundamentals, ensuring that every player grows as both an athlete and a person.
At Philadelphia Venom FC, we believe development should be intentional, challenging, and enjoyable. We are committed to giving motivated 2015 and 2016 players a platform to improve their skills, compete in high-quality tournaments, and learn the values that define successful athletes.

Coach Bliss Harris
My coaching path began through grassroots and school-based programs, where I developed a strong foundation in youth engagement, session planning, and creating inclusive learning environments. Over time, I progressed into competitive and elite settings, coaching with organizations such as the New York Red Bulls, Philadelphia Union Youth, Manchester City Academy, Eastern Pennsylvania ODP, FC Delco, Penn Fusion, and Radnor Soccer Club. I’ve also served in leadership and program-building roles, including Head Coach at Valley Forge Military Academy & College and Technical Development Manager at Select Soccer Center.
As a player, my own journey shaped my philosophy. I spent only six months in an academy environment during the second half of my senior year of high school before moving directly into Division I soccer, where I earned a starting role immediately. I started every game and played every minute as a sophomore, and later served as team captain during my junior and senior seasons. That experience reinforced a belief that game intelligence, decision-making, and speed of play ultimately separate players more than pedigree or timing. Development is not about when a player starts, but how they learn to understand the game.
I believe enjoyment fuels learning, and learning fuels performance. My sessions emphasize decision-making, game intelligence, and confidence while still demanding discipline, accountability, and high standards. I strive to create fun and educational environments that help players understand why they do something on the field, not just how. My goal is to develop intelligent players who can solve problems, play quickly, and maximize their potential regardless of their starting point.
